Welcome to the Southern RAG Society Inc. info page. This is a tax exempt (501c-3) non-profit organization which provides vehicles for people/families in need currently in the Middle Ga area. We will buy vehicles at low cost but prefer to get donated vehicles that run and spruce them up a bit by repairing necessary things and going through it to make sure it is a sound vehicle before delivery. We feel good enough about it when it leaves our garage that a teenage girl would be safe in it. Replacing belts, hoses, brakes, tires, window motors/regulators and cleaning upholstery are a few things we do to the vehicle in our garage at our home in our spare time.
Please consider the following:
You can donate a vehicle and write it off on your taxes.
You can donate cash for purchase and or repair of a vehicle and take a tax write off.
You can make a donation/monetary gift to someone thru SRS so you can remain anonymous.
The opportunities for philanthropy are endless. The vehicles are just the beginning.

Some of our cars were not running, some had minor body damage and some needed a paint job or just tires and a battery.   Our board members try to do the work themselves but realize their individual limitations.  So we have access to compassionate business owners in our small very friendly and caring  community that have contributed  hours of labor for the more technical repairs, paint and body work and even the gift of the vehicle itself in some cases.  Some of the board members family provide the detailing when the car is ready for delivery.  We also will have volunteers donate age and weight appropriate car seats if needed..  We also have community volunteers to facilitate delivery of the vehicle. 

Either you or someone else can send us your story of why you need transportation.  Please include your annual income as we have to qualify you based on $$ as well.

Please email us and tell us if  you or  someone you know  is in need of a vehicle.  Please explain to us what difference a vehicle would make in your life or the life of someone you know.  We will also need your financial  info such as your annual income.    This info is only shared among the board of directors for purposes of qualifying the need  and will not be used in any other way. We need the following info:
